Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, is one of the most sought-after possibilities for head coach this summer.
The Los Angeles Chargers and Atlanta Falcons, two teams who are probably considering him highly for head coach, have already conducted interviews with him.

Now, Harbaugh could easily return to Michigan if he doesn’t like any of the offers or jobs on the table, but Yahoo Sports’ Dan Wetzel told the Dan Patrick Show this week that this might be the last year for Harbaugh to land an NFL job.
“If Jim Harbaugh can’t get an NFL job this year,” Wetzel said, “it’s not going to happen.”
Harbaugh left the NFL coaching ranks in 2014 after a reported falling out with the San Francisco 49ers management and has been a tepid candidate ever since.
But he reached the pinnacle at Michigan after Harbaugh led the Wolverines to the College Football Playoff championship over Washington this season.
And now with several high-profile jobs on the table, Harbaugh could want to make his glorious return to the NFL in search of the Lombardi Trophy that eluded him the last time he was an NFL head coach almost a decade ago.
His coaching style clearly worked in San Francisco after he turned around the 49ers in just two seasons, but that style may rub the wrong way with some owners or general managers much like it did with the 49ers.
It’s unclear how his interviews have gone or will go during the rest of the offseason, but the shadow of his decision could have ripple effects across the NFL head coaching landscape.
