The Georgia Bulldogs put a lot of effort into filling a number of roster gaps and attracting the top recruiting class in the country for the 2024 cycle. They devote some of their focus to special teams, and the Bulldogs acquired the top punter in the nation in Mediapolis, Iowa, in Drew Miller. Miller considered a number of choices and decided on Georgia over NC State and Iowa State.
View Miller’s senior highlights in the section above. On 247Sports, Miller has the top spot for punters. During his final season, he averaged 47.33 yards per punt on 30 punt attempts. He gave up only five return yards while forcing 17 punts to land inside the 20-yard line and 12 punts to land inside the 10-yard line. Miller was named to the first team of the MaxPreps All-American.

“Top-rated punter averaged 49.5 yards per punt with 55 percent landing inside the 20,” MaxPreps said of Miller.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Miller is coming off a junior season during which he averaged 48 yards per punt and also had touchbacks on 51 of his 55 kickoffs. Kohl’s Kicking has Miller ranked as the No. 1 punter in the country and had this to say about him last year.
“Miller most recently competed at the 2022 National Invitational Scholarship Camp in July of 2022. Miller again proved to be one of the top kicker/punter combos in the 2024 class. Miller’s punt score of 111.95 was outstanding. At the 2021 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp, he scored 25 points on field goal charts and even won the field goal competition held at the end of camp. He also charted extremely well in punting, averaging 113.4 points in charting with multiple punts over 4.7 seconds of hang-time. Miller shows tremendous leg speed and power in both kicking and punting, making him one of the most exciting prospects in his class!”
Chris Sailer Kicking has Miller ranked as the No. 2 punter in the country and said this about him:
“Drew is a very talented young high school punting and kicking prospect. He is big, tall, strong and athletic. Drew does an outstanding job punting the football. He punts for a nice combination of distance and hang time. Drew already hits a D1 level ball. His potential and upside in this area of his game is off the charts. Drew is also an excellent kicker. He hits a pure ball off the ground and easily has 50+ yard range. His kickoffs are strong. As he continues to develop his game, watch out. Drew is a big time combo talent. I look forward to seeing what the future holds. Look for Drew to dominate Vegas XXXIX in January. He will challenge for a TOP 12 Camp Invitation. He is a fine young man who is a pleasure to work with. OFFER NOW!
Georgia has had considerable success on the road this season, but the Bulldogs knew they were walking into a difficult situation on Saturday night in Rupp Arena. Although Georgia knew it had to bring its best to have a shot against No. 8 Kentucky, the Wildcats quickly proved why they’re considered one of the top teams in the country.
Georgia could not stop Kentucky’s shooters in a one-sided game that ended with the Wildcats winning 105-96. The loss stood as a disappointing showing for Georgia, which lost touch with Kentucky just after the halfway point of the first half and could never provide the spark it needed to have a shot.
