For junior day last Saturday, the Florida Gators had a number of elite prospects on campus, including two very promising tight end possibilities.
2025 close end While on campus, Micah Jones (6-5, 225, Madison, MS. Central) relished the unique visitation experience he had with the coaching staff on junior day.

Regarding his Saturday trip to Florida, Jones remarked, “I love Florida and the tradition.” “I enjoyed the visit, and the atmosphere was positive. For my family and I, today’s visit was more like a family get-together.
Jones and tight ends coach Russ Callaway have been communicating frequently, and during the junior day visit, Callaway gave Jones an explanation of how the position is used.
Jones remarked, “I like the tight end room; they have a lot of good guys.” “They have a good group of guys; they have some good guys returning from injuries, and I know they have one 2024.” They make complete use of the tight end. Sometimes they also like to employ two tight ends.
Jones has already made multiple trips to campus, and following his visit on Saturday, he said the Gators are in excellent hands with him.
Florida is definitely on the top end of my list,” Jones said of where Florida stands. “I don’t officially have a list, but I will towards the spring. I would like to have a decision by the start of the next school year.”
Next up for Jones and Florida will be at least one more visit but the Mississippi native says he may be back to Gainesville sooner.
Regarding his intended return date, Jones stated, “I know I will be back here for an official visit, probably this summer.” “I may return here sooner in the spring.”.
