Even though it’s only January, planning for the 2024 college football season is never too early. ESPN unveiled its way-too-early 2024 All-American teams, and Ole Miss Rebels receiver Tre Harris made the list following a standout debut in the Southeastern Conference. ESPN is already looking ahead to the upcoming season. Tetairoa McMillan, a wide receiver for the Arizona Wildcats, was named to the first team, while Harris was placed on the second team. The announcement was released by Ole Miss football on social media, which is accessible here.

Harris transferred to Ole Miss ahead of the 2023 season after spending three years with at Louisiana Tech where he recorded 1,527 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns 31 games. In his first 12 games in the SEC, Harris hauled in 985 yards and eight touchdowns. The Lafayette, La., native finished the 2023 season fifth in the SEC in receiving yards, and fourth in the league in yards per reception with 18.24. Harris made a name for himself quickly in Oxford, as the former transfer caught six passes for 133 yards and four touchdowns versus the Mercer Bears in Week 1, setting Ole Miss’ record for touchdown receptions in a single game in the process.
Harris aspires to reach even greater heights in 2024 after helping the Rebels to their first-ever 11-win season in 2023. With the intention of going all in for the upcoming season and going beyond just making Ole Miss’ first-ever playoff berth, Harris and other seniors are returning for their final years of eligibility.
