In order to visit and offer a scholarship to Guyer (Denton, Texas) High defensive line prospect Xavier Ukponu, Gators defensive line coach Gerald Chatman traveled out west on Monday.
Ukponu, who was impressed by Chatman’s pitch, told All Gators on Monday night that he will return the favor on Saturday when he travels to Gainesville to visit the University of Florida for the first time. Regarding his conversation with the Florida assistant, he told AG, “It was great.” “He just told me I’m a priority for me, and he’s trying to get me out of the state of Texas and be a Gator.”
