GREAT NEWS: Gators set to land a Four-star defensive end to 2024 class, Braden Fiske balls out at Senior Bowl

Four-star defensive end Amaree Williams announced on Saturday that he will continue his career in Tallahassee after joining the Florida State Seminoles football team’s 2024 recruiting class.

Williams, listed at 6’4″ and 215 pounds, elected to reclassify from the 2025 cycle, which should please FSU supporters. When he was ranked alongside 2025 recruits, the 247Sports Composite List named him the top athlete and the 29th overall player in the country. Following his reclassification to the 2024 class, he was ranked as the sixth best athlete and 207th overall (27th in Florida).

Williams quietly signed his letter of intent in December, choosing the Seminoles over 35 other offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Ole Miss Rebels, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, and USC Trojans.

The pickup earned FSU 26 four-star ratings from 247Sports and 14 from On3, with the Seminoles ranked No. 10 and No. 12 in their respective classes:
