Ali Lauitiiti, a club veteran, has recently became the new chaplain for the One New Zealand Warriors while also beginning his own endeavor, Kofe Bro, a mobile coffee cart business.
What began as a family side hustle quickly became a passion project and a fixture at the Go Media Stadium parking lot, with Kofe Bro mixing Lauitiiti’s love of coffee with the opportunity to engage with his kids.
It’s a great thing for me and my family to bond over, but being associated with the Warriors in my new work has allowed me to cross the two hobbies on occasion, which has been really cool.”
Lauitiiti returns to the club where he began, taking on the post of chaplain, providing spiritual and pastoral care.
His participation brings a distinct flavor to the One New Zealand Warriors’ growing wellbeing squad.
It is consistent with his role as a wellbeing and education officer for the New Zealand Rugby League, spanning the grassroots and professional levels.
“It’s been an honour and privilege to be given the opportunity by the wellbeing team to come back to the club where I started my journey and serve in a small capacity as the team chaplain,” he added.
“I honestly can’t thank the club enough for always welcoming back past players.”

As the organization continues to invest in holistic player development, having Lauitiiti as chaplain demonstrates a commitment to overall player welfare, he added.
Aside from his primary responsibilities, the current group has missed Lauitiiti’s on-field presence, and the club believes it will create a lasting impression both on and off the field for the 2024 squad and beyond.
