The Green Bay Packers own five picks in the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. In a fresh mock draft for The 33rd Team, Connor Livesay addressed the majority of the important needs.
Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton batted leadoff in the first round. Guyton played right tackle at Oklahoma, which is not a short- or long-term necessity for the Packers. However, Guyton did play some left tackle at the Senior Bowl. He possesses the athleticism to succeed as the long-term replacement for David Bakhtiari.
Three of the four Day 2 picks went to defensive players, including Minnesota safety Tyler Nubin and Clemson defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro in the second round and Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine in the third.
Nubin intercepted 12 passes over his final three seasons with the Golden Gophers. He spent his rookie year with Buccaneers great Antoine Winfield and credited his guidance with shaping his film study and approach.
Last season, Abrams-Draine allowed only 24-of-51 passing attempts while recording a career-high four interceptions. During his final three seasons, he had seven interceptions and 34 passes defended.
Orhorhoro recorded eight tackles for loss in consecutive seasons. “There are a lot of people talking and barking, but turn on the tape. “I’m a real dog,” he declared during the Scouting Combine.
