Schefter told ESPN that the Steelers are “in the conversation” about Fields as they depart the NFL Combine. Pittsburgh was reportedly one of three teams that approached Chicago about a QB trade. General manager Omar Khan did not rule out the possibility of acquiring Fields, telling local media that he will evaluate all alternatives during the summer. Re-signing Mason Rudolph remains their top priority, but if Fields is available for a lower price than expected, their plans may change.
