Our calendars have officially changed to March. Not only does the NCAA Tournament begin this month, but high school football players will be free to begin making unofficial trips to institutions of interest when the dead period ends.
In today’s Recruiting Roundup, we’ll look at a few prospects who the Michigan Wolverines are pursuing and who have booked trips to Ann Arbor soon.
Top CB target plans two visits to Ann Arbor
Four-star cornerback Mark Zackery IV is one of Michigan’s top targets in the 2025 cycle, a position in which the team desperately needs help. Zackery, an Indianapolis native, was offered by the Wolverines in May of last year, with more big-time offers coming from Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida, and others.
Zackery was last in Ann Arbor in October, and he will return to school for the first time since then in the near future. According to On3’s Zach Libby ($), Zackery will visit Michigan for the spring game on April 20 before returning a few months later for his official visit on the weekend of June 14.
His visit in October was with then-defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, so Michigan will have some work to do. However, it appears that the continuity with head coach Sherrone Moore, as well as the excellent academics at Michigan, are tempting enough to keep Zackery interested in the program.

“With all the schools, especially Notre Dame and Michigan, having a higher academic program has played a big part in my recruitment.”
The 5-foot-10.5, 164-pounder recently named a top-four list that included Michigan, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and Florida. The Fighting Irish lead the way with two Crystal Ball predictions, but anything can happen between now and when he commits. We should learn more about his mental state in the coming months.
Four-star WR visiting next month
According to The Michigan Insider’s Brice Marich ($), 2025 four-star wide receiver Taz Williams Jr. has scheduled an unofficial visit to Michigan on April 7.
Additionally, Williams has scheduled unofficial visits to Texas A&M on March 26, Alabama on April 1, Ohio State on April 8, and Texas on April 20th. He also has one official visit to USC scheduled for the weekend of May 17, according to his 247Sports profile.
This isn’t Williams’ first trip to Michigan, but it’s been about a year since his last visit. Ron Bellamy and Williams will have some catching up to do, and Williams will need to meet with incoming head coach Sherrone Moore. Williams mentioned academics as a huge
