This weekend, the Texas Rangers wrapped up their six-game road trip in Seattle, Washington, with a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners. Here’s my series recap of the Rangers at Mariners series at T-Mobile Park for your information.

    Friday, June 14

The Rangers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Mariners on Apple TV+’s Friday Night Baseball. Texas fell to 33-36, while Seattle improved to 41-31. Rangers starting pitcher Andrew Heaney pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up six hits, three earned runs, three walks, and four strikeouts. Meanwhile, Mariners starting pitcher Luis Castillo pitched six innings and gave up four hits, two earned runs, one walk, and seven strikeouts. The Rangers quickly got on the board in the top of the first inning. Nathaniel Lowe doubled on a sharp line drive to Julio Rodriguez. Marcus Semien scored for an early 1-0 lead. Wyatt Langford followed with a single on a sharp line drive to Rodriguez. Lowe scored to make it a 2-0 game. The Mariners immediately responded in the bottom of the first inning. Mitch Garver homered on a fly ball to center field. Julio Rodriguez scored to tie the game 2-2. The Mariners took the lead in the bottom of the third inning and never looked back. Julio Rodriguez grounded into a force out that went to Marcus Semien and then Ezequiel Duran. J.P. Crawford scored to take a 3-2 lead for good.
