    Jaylen Brown embraced Mavs star after NBA Finals: ‘You’re a killer … I love you’

    Amid the chaos and celebration following Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Jaylen Brown found Luka Doncic on the court to give some sky-high praise to the Dallas Mavericks star.

    Brown was mic’d up for the Boston Celtics’ series-clinching win in Game 5, allowing the NBA to capture the moment the two stars embraced on the court moments after the series ended.

    “Luka, you’re a killer. You got the best out of me. I love you, bro,” Brown said in a video posted to the NBA’s YouTube channel.

    I love you too, bro,” Doncic said in response.

    Doncic is the engine that drove Dallas’ run to the NBA Finals. The 25-year-old Slovenian guard was far and away the Mavs’ most productive player in the series, leading the team in points (29.2), rebounds (8.8), assists (5.6) and steals (2.6) per game.

    Doncic, like Celtics star Jayson Tatum, was named to the All-NBA 1st Team this season. Meanwhile, Brown was not named to any of the three All-NBA squads.

    However, Brown went on to earn the final individual accolade of the 2024-24 season — NBA Finals MVP.
