Key battle: Left tackle | More than any teammate, first-round pick Tyler Guyton will battle the legacy of former All-Pro tackle Tyron Smith, who signed with the New York Jets in free agency in the offseason. With just 70 snaps at left tackle with Oklahoma, Guyton is no sure thing because Pro Bowl guard Tyler Smith started 17 games at left tackle in 2022.

Key battle: Tight end | With the retirement of Darren Waller, Daniel Bellinger and fourth-round pick Theo Johnson have a chance to become the No. 1 tight end. Bellinger has two years in head coach Brian Daboll’s system, but with 4.57 speed in the 40 (second best among tight ends at the NFL Combine), Johnson will get plenty of looks in training camp. At 6-foot-6 and 264 pounds, he can’t be overlooked.
