With the official arrival of Joe Montemurro, a new page is being written for OL Féminin. For the first time since its foundation in 2004, the team will be led by a foreign coach.
Olympique Lyonnais Féminin announced, on June 19th, the appointment, effective July 4, 2024, of Joe Montemurro as the team’s new head coach for two seasons, until June 30, 2026.
The Australian manager was most recently the head of the Juventus women’s team in Torino, with whom he enjoyed an immediate and resounding success.
In 2021/22, in his first season, he won the Italian championship, the Cup, and the Super Cup, thus achieving a historic treble.
He won 5 trophies and made the Italian club shine on the European scene, including a Women’s Champions League quarter-final against OL in March 2022.
