Louisville has an official date set with 2025 four-star guard Acaden Lewis.
First reported by Travis Branham, national basketball analyst for 247Sports, Cardinal Authority has further confirmed that Louisville will host Lewis on an official visit the weekend of August 30.
The 6-foot-1 guard from Washington D.C., was one of the biggest risers in the recent 247Sports prospect rankings. He climbed from No. 80 to No. 35 overall and is now listed as the No. 6 combo guard nationally.
Branham reports that the cause behind the impressive jump in rankings is that Lewis “has taken his game to another level with his wiggle with the basketball, his quickness, shot-making prowess, and playmaking. On or off the ball, you can’t ever let Lewis get comfortable because he is a threat from anywhere on the court and a threat with the ball in his hands. Lewis changes speeds and directions on a dime, breaks down defenders, is a creative passer, and can score from all three levels. Lewis’ big rise during this update is because he continues to deliver on every big stage and never shies away from a challenge.”
“It started last session,” Lewis said, adding that it was head coach Pat Kelsey that extended the offer. “It’s always nice to get an offer from the head coach. He said he loved how I played and what he saw with my tenacity and what he saw with me picking my spots, knowing when to score, and when to get my teammates involved.
“I know Louisville is a really historic program. The last couple of years were not good but I know that’s going to change. They have a lot of good things going on over there.”
Lewis has already made official visits to Florida State and Virginia and he’s been on campus to Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Georgetown. His list of scholarship offers is lengthy. Included among the many programs to offer are Louisville, Auburn, Connecticut, Duke, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, St. John’s, Syracuse, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
Lewis is the second player to schedule an official visit with the Cardinals, joining Top 20 wing Shelton Henderson. Henderson is scheduled to visit Louisville the weekend of August 23.

Highland Home (Ala.) high school Top 247 four-star edge rusher CJ May has narrowed his recruitment of 30-plus offers down to a four finalists. The 6-4, 225-pounder is inching closer to a commitment, one that is expected to take place in July.
May, 247Sports’ No. 145 overall player in the class of 2025, was once committed to Notre Dame. However, he decommitted back in February. At that point, some felt he was headed toward Ole Miss. There was plenty of buzz between both sides. Yet, as he gets closer to a commitment, the Rebels are no longer in the picture.
