Amorion Walker found a new place to live really quickly.
After committing to play for the University of Mississippi in 2024, the Michigan defensive back took six days to submit his name to the NCAA transfer site. Walker revealed the news on Wednesday, not long after declaring in the open that he had entered the gateway.
There are still two years for the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Walker to be eligible. He would be eligible to play right away under the amended NCAA regulations.
The Ponchatoula, La., came to Michigan as a three-star prospect and played both ways as a true freshman in 2022, catching one pass in six games. Walker moved to cornerback full-time ahead of 2023, totaling three tackles in six games.
Walker had a scholarship offer from Ole Miss out of high school. It remains unclear as to which side of the ball he’ll play in Oxford.

Receiver Cornelius Johnson, offensive lineman Trente Jones and cornerback Josh Wallace are set to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl on Feb. 1 in Frisco, Texas. Like the Senior Bowl, the game will be televised on NFL Network and give players the opportunity to practice in front of NFL scouts and coaches ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.
