The Browns’ offseason last year revolved heavily around deals, so general manager Andrew Berry is probably considering a few right now. The Eagles have given edge rusher Hasson Reddick permission to request a trade, suggesting that the NFC East could be the source of a possible trade.
Reddick’s career took off after he moved to Philadelphia in 2022. He led the league in forced fumbles (five) and tied for second in sacks (16.0) with Myles Garrett.
His performance was crucial to Philadelphia’s postseason success that year; he had 3.5 sacks en route to Super Bowl LVII, which they ultimately lost to the Chiefs.
Although his production declined to 11.0 sacks in 2023, it was still good enough to tie for 15th place in the league. However, the team collapsed, and the Eagles dropped their last six games, including a disappointing NFC wild card loss.
In 2024, Reddick is projected to make $15.5 million.

Cleveland Browns Free Agency Preview – Backup Quarterbacks
In this daily series, we will look at all of the 633 unrestricted free agents that are set to hit the market on the 11th of March at noon ET, this is when teams can begin negotiating with them. Despite this, many deals will be negotiated before that time, with the combine seen as the kick-off of the unofficial tampering period. There will be some that don’t make it there due to either being franchise tagged before the 4 pm ET deadline on the 5th of March or being extended by their current team.
Before anyone throws their toys out of the pram and moans why are we covering “X” position when we don’t need a player there, it is important to look at every area of a roster as what you can get in free agency easily shapes what you do with extensions, trades, and the draft.
A team like the Cleveland Browns, who are fighting to win now rather than developing a starter as the season progresses, uses free agency and trades to fill any starting places on the roster. Keep an eye on who they might replace next year when Andrew Berry is selecting players later in the offseason since they plan to develop future starters from their backup and depth positions.
