Alex Cora, the manager of the Red Sox, is requesting high-level support after leading Boston on a scorching steak. Speaking to the media prior to Wednesday’s game against the Blue Jays, Cora, whose side has triumphed in eight of the previous ten games, encouraged Boston management to take initiative and make improvements to the team before the MLB trade deadline on July 30. “We’ll see in a month or a month and a half what transpires.
