2026 POWER TRIP FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED: FOO FIGHTERS, METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, GUNS N’ ROSES & TOOL RETURN FOR THE BIGGEST ROCK EVENT OF THE DECADE — SET TIMES REVEALED
In what’s already being dubbed “the ultimate gathering of rock legends”, the 2026 Power Trip Festival has officially been announced — and it’s set to shatter every expectation of what a rock festival can be. Taking place this December at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, the same desert stage that hosted the iconic 2023 edition, the lineup reads like a hall of fame roll call: Foo Fighters, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Guns N’ Roses, and Tool are all confirmed to perform across three explosive nights.
Promoters described the event as “a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the gods of rock, with the energy of Christmas and the magnitude of history.” The stage will feature a cutting-edge production design — complete with pyrotechnics, drone light displays, and a 360-degree LED tower that promises to immerse fans in pure sonic chaos.
The Lineup & Set Times
Night one opens with Judas Priest at 7:30 PM, followed by Foo Fighters at 9:15 PM, setting the tone for what promises to be a monumental weekend. Metallica will close the first night at 11:00 PM with a two-hour headline set featuring classics like “Enter Sandman,” “One,” and selections from their 2024 album “Hardwired… Forever.”
On night two, Iron Maiden will bring their signature theatrics to the stage at 8:00 PM, complete with the band’s monstrous mascot Eddie towering over the crowd. Guns N’ Roses follow at 10:30 PM, with Axl Rose teasing a few “surprises from the vault” — rumored to include unreleased material from the Chinese Democracy sessions.
The grand finale arrives with Tool closing the festival on night three at 2:45 AM, after a midnight storm of visuals and mysticism. Their performance is said to feature a new extended version of “Schism” accompanied by a custom laser installation designed by visual artist Alex Grey.
A Global Rock Pilgrimage
Fans from more than 60 countries have already registered for pre-sale tickets, which sold out within 24 hours of announcement. Hotels across Palm Springs are reportedly booked through the week of the event, and organizers have added a “Power Trip Camping Zone” that includes fan villages, late-night jam sessions, and exclusive artist pop-up shops.
Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters shared his excitement in a statement:
> “Power Trip isn’t just a show — it’s a reunion of everything that made us pick up guitars in the first place. We’re not just coming to play; we’re coming to make history.”
With anticipation reaching a fever pitch, the 2026 Power Trip Festival is poised to become the defining rock event of the decade — a thunderous blend of nostalgia, rebellion, and unity that will light up the desert like never before.
Fans are being urged to prepare for long nights, loud riffs, and the kind of energy only rock and roll can summon — because this Christmas, the desert will roar again.
