Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro is optimistic that midfielder Alhassan Yusuf would be fit to play Nigeria’s next game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Yusuf, who made his competitive debut for the Super Eagles against the Nzalang Nacional was stretchered off in the second half and was replaced by Joe Aribo. The Royal Antwerp midfielder put up an excellent effort throughout the contest.
Alhassan Yusuf has confirmed he didn’t pick a significant injury in the Super Eagles 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea. Yusuf made his competitive debut for the Super Eagles in the game. The 23-year-old was however stretchered off in the 69th minute after sustaining an injury. The midfielder was replaced by Joe Aribo. “It’s just a cramp, we will see if I’ll be available against Cote D’Ivoire,”Yusuf said after the game. The Super Eagles will go up against Cote d’ivoire at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Thursday.
