THE GENESIS OF ACDC: FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO ROCK LEGEND

Imagine the scene: a family disembarking from Scotland to conquer Australia, armed with guitars and furious riffs. That’s what the Young brothers did! George, Malcolm and Angus, a siblings ready to rock the world with their passion for rock.

George, the eldest, already accustomed to the spotlight with Easybeats, takes matters into his own hands and introduces his younger brothers to the magic of music. Then, one day, Malcolm decided it was their turn to shine. AC/DC was born, with a name chosen on a whim after spotting a mysterious acronym on a sewing machine. Who would have thought that this simple acronym would become the symbol of a rock legend?

Their first album, “High Voltage“, came out in 1974, but it wasn’t yet the big boom. They followed it up with “T.N.T.“, and then the madness began. Australia cheered them on, radio stations clamored for their songs, and the rock world took note.

While Malcolm and Angus thrill the crowds, let’s not forget the essential role played by George, the maestro of the early days. It was he who introduced Bon Scott to the group, giving birth to the band we all know today.

In 1975, they exploded onto the scene with their self-titled debut album. Produced by George and Harry Vanda, this opus was packed with insane riffs and biting lyrics, such as “She’s Got Balls“, a humorous tune written by Bon Scott for his wife.

And that’s how a Scottish family and a sewing machine gave birth to one of rock’s greatest legends. You can’t make it up, but AC/DC did!
