Last week, West Ham expressed their interest in signing Leeds United winger Cryscencio Summerville. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, West Ham have been recently monitoring a lot of left sided forwards including Summerville.

Initially, it was claimed that the Dutch winger would cost above £30 million to leave Elland Road in this transfer window. But in a stunning twist, West Ham have agreed a deal with Leeds United to sign Summerville

According to the Evening Standard, West Ham agreed a £25 million offer including add-ons for the 22-year-old forward. The jet-heeled winger who scored 21 goals and provided ten assists in 49 appearances for Leeds United last season in the Championship, is now all set to join West Ham.

The report further reveals that Summerville is heading to the United States for his medical and will join the Hammers squad in their preseason tour. This comes as a massive news for West Ham who have now got their preferred choice to improve the left wing position.

On top of that, signing an in form winger for a fee of £25 million makes this a win win situation for Julen Lopetegui’s side. After more than three weeks of struggling to sign ideal transfer targets, West Ham have moved quickly to add Summerville to their star studded front line.

Now, West Ham need to continue this momentum and make more shrewd signings to strengthen the squad. A striker, centre back and a new right back are a priority with the club currently finalizing the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the right back role.
