Real Madrid forward Arda Guler has reportedly received a massive offer from Newcastle United as they make a move in the transfer market.
Lewis Hall, Lloyd Kelly, John Ruddy, and Odysseas Vlachodimos are the four players the Geordies have signed so far this summer; they all arrived in the first month of the transfer season.
Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh have already left Newcastle for Nottingham Forest and Brighton, respectively, but their next arrival could not be too far off.
Although he is unaware of who may join, Daily Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards maintains that Newcastle is “close to seeing a breakthrough” in terms of recruitment this summer.
“I think we are close to seeing a breakthrough in #nufc recruitment this summer,” Edwards posted on X. Seeking additional information, but it might be [Malick] Thiaw. It might be a name that appears out of the blue.
Over the weekend, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe responded to a question about possible moves with, “Not at the moment, no.”
“Of course we’re having discussions every day, several times a day to try and move the squad forward and make sure we’re ready for what is a very tough Premier League season but I can’t give you false news, we’re working towards that and everyone wants the same endpoint, let’s see what happens.”
