The Florida State Seminoles are in the middle of one of the worst seasons in program history. Stumbling out of the blocks to a 1-8 overall record, many of the players on the current FSU roster might be tempted to enter the transfer portal. In today’s environment and climate, the transfer portal and players contemplating it are constant forces that coaches must battle. Especially when things get tough, like the brutal season they’re going through. FSU head coach Mike Norvell recently broke down how he hopes to deal with poaching in the transfer portal.

“For us, I think I was asked that question last week about recruiting your players. And every day we step on that field that’s why recruiting opportunity for them. The time that we pour into them as people, the time we help them on the road to being the men they’re capable of being. I mean, that’s my recruiting effort. Because anybody can sit in front of them and tell them something that might sound good and get them to feel a certain way in the moment,” Norvell explained.
